Legislators Visit Safety Net Clinic

US Representative Pettersen and State Representative Feret visited Carin' Clinic in Arvada during the August break. They got to see the work a free and charitable clinic does to provide not only healthcare, but links to other services in the community.

This clinic was founded 30 years ago by nurse practitioners who recognized that, while no one wanted to see children who were uninsured, healthcare should be available to everyone.

Many thanks to these legislators for their interest, as many more people will be uninsured in the next year because of changes in Medicaid and private insurance. Carin’ Clinic is one of 40+ clinics around the state that will see more uninsured patients.
